First Response Learning Emergency First Aid at Work Course
Syllabus: Incident management, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation; Management of an unconscious casualty, Management of a bleeding casualty including Shock, Recognition and treatment of illnesses, medical conditions and subjects relevant to trainees work place situations.
Assessment: Ongoing assessment by the tutor. To receive a certificate the trainee will demonstrate;

a) Demonstrate an understanding of incident management principles.
b) Carry out Airway management & Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation to a safe standard as assessed by the tutor.
c) Carry out the Recovery Position to a safe standard as assessed by the tutor.
d) Manage a bleeding wound to a safe standard as assessed by the tutor.
Duration: Six hours contact time plus an hour for breaks.
One Day training or split duration courses can be arranged, e.g. 2 x 3.25 hours or 3 x 2 hour courses.
Qualification: A three year certificate will be issued to trainees on successful completion of the course.

Emergency First Aid at Work Course Level 3 Certificate – 1 DAY Course
Assessment: 3 Practical Assessments for CPR; Unconscious Casualty / Recovery position & Wound management and a Multi choice question paper.
Duration: Six hours contact time plus an hour for breaks.
One Day training or split duration courses can be arranged, e.g. 2 x 3.25 hours or 3 x 2 hour courses.
Qualification: A three year certificate will be issued to trainees on successful completion of the course.
NB Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline
and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment..
